(EN) In three recent works, Roxana Rios deepens a long-standing inquiry into corporeality as a volatile terrain of political and aesthetic negotiation. In the body is a practice, AI-representations of trans bodies serve as a starting point for interrogating constructed expectations around bodily constitution. The body is not framed as a biological given, but as a site of continuous production – shaped, destabilized, and reinscribed through language, technology, and performance. breach of realms extends this perspective to the politics of bodily posture in public space and its entangledment in the performance of patriarchal power. In dialogue with Marianne Wex’s seminal work, the piece articulates an intergenerational critique that disrupts inherited readings of gender, presence, and authority. The collaboration ALIAS turns to drag as both a mode of staging and a technique of deconstruction. Through the exposure, dismantling, and reconfiguration of gendered signifiers, the body is revealed as a fluid, contested construction – asserted in resistance, reappropriated in defiance, and endlessly reinvented. Ausgehend von KI-Darstellungen von Transkörpern befasst sich the body is a practice mit hergestellten Erwartungen an die Beschaffenheit von Körpern und versteht diese nicht als biologische Gegebenheit, sondern als Praxis – geformt durch Sprache, Technologie und Handlungen. breach of realms erweitert diesen Blick auf Körperhaltungen im öffentlichen Raum und deren Einbindung in die Performanz patriarchaler Machtverhältnisse. In Anlehnung an Marianne Wex formuliert die Arbeit eine intergenerationale Fortführung, die tradierte Lesarten von Geschlecht, Präsenz und Autorität unterläuft. Die Kollaboration ALIAS schließlich fokussiert Drag als Technik der Inszenierung und Dekonstruktion. Im expliziten Offenlegen, Demontieren und Verschieben geschlechtlicher Markierungen wird der Körper als fluide, gestaltbare Konstruktion sichtbar – im Widerstand, der Aneignung und ständiger Neuerfindung.
