Christian KĆun Alborz Oldham is an artist, writer, researcher, and ikebana practitioner concerned
with what surrounds production and the lives of things. Oldham is the founder of Flower Planet,
an artwork and school. They lived and studied in Japan with Kosen Ohtsubo, a pivotal figure in the
avant-garde ikebana movement since the 1970s. It was through Ohtsuboâs instruction that Oldham
became a certified freestyle sensei at the Ryusei School of Ikebana.
This one-day exhibition is accompanied by a series of freestyle ikebana workshops and lectures.
